Taylor Bay
Warm, calm and waist-deep for a very long way out.
Taylor Bay is a sheltered beach on Provo’s south coast, near Chalk Sound, that Visit TCI calls one of the safest beaches in the islands.

Getting there
Take Chalk Sound Drive for about 0.8 miles and turn left onto Ocean Point Drive. The car park is on the right after about 1,000 feet, with room for around eight cars, and a short path of roughly 440 feet leads to the sand.
The water
The Ocean Point peninsula shelters the bay from the trade winds, so there are typically no currents. At very low tide, wide patterned sandbars appear.
Who it suits
It’s usually much quieter than Sapodilla Bay next door. If you came to snorkel, look elsewhere: there’s little to see here beyond a few small fish by the low cliffs.
Good to know
There are no lifeguards and no facilities to count on, so bring water and shade. Biting midges come out around sunrise and sunset; repellent helps.
